Paper mache bowls

The local library offers a summer reading program which includes storytimes and arts and crafts.   Each summer they have a different theme and this summer’s theme is “Get Creative at Your Local Library.”

The program yesterday included a story and paper mache bowl making.  The paste was a wheat flour and water mixture which the children painted onto styrofoam bowls with large paint brushes.  Then, they covered the bowl with tiny pieces of scrap paper.  After drying overnight, we just ripped the styrofoan bowl off and there you have it, masha Allah.
