Weekly Recap

As the week draws to a close, I am continuing to jot down some of the positive highlights of the week.  First, Hawwa and Siddiqah are progressing in speech therapy.  Even if it is a small amout of progress, it is still progress:)  Hawwa is very willing to learn and do the work that the Speech Therapist assigns during the sessions.  The girls and I also still enjoy going to visit her as we have several things in common such as our sons and our alma mater.  We are also allowed to use a resource room while I wait for each child to finish which is a plus.   This gives me 30 min. of one on one academic time with both Siddiqah and Hawwa weekly.  To those of you with large families, you can probably relate to the fact that even 30 min. is so very precious.

Another really cool happening was that Yahya’s knitted hat was chosen to be part of an art competition this weekend.  I hope to be able to take him to the art exhibit at the hosting school on Saturday.  Make du’a he wins.   Another plus is I wanted to check out that  school as a possibly for his high school. it is a small private school. We will begin the search official in the fall.  Each school has its own entrance test and he still has yet to take a standardized test.  I guess I am a little nervous because standarized tests were never one of my strengths.  Praying for the best.
