This past week was back to school transition. I actually decided to enroll Jennah in school, so she started Tuesday. After two days, I received a call from the principal explaining that they wanted to move her to a collaborative classroom. A collaborative classroom has two teachers and they move at slightly slower pace. I was fine with that recommendation as I think she will benefit more in this environment and progress more quickly. She seems very happy in school and also seems more motivated. Please continue to make du’a for her.
In other news, I recently found out that I am expecting, alhamdulillah. It came as a shock as they all have previously. We are grateful though. I haven’t told many people. My children and parents don’t even know. I don’t anticip I will just continue to take things one day at a time.
In other happenings, Hannah and Jamilah along with one other friend in the Cadette group, led the Girl Scout meeting this past Friday. They shared activities and projects about air and air quality. It was a great leadership experience for them.
This week we will be finishing up Yahya’s applications for the specialty center. I plan on hand delivering them early in the week. Yahya will also be sitting for the writing test and aptitude test to finish off the whole process. Then we just have to wait until March, insha allah. Praying for whatever is best for him.
