Hannah and Jamilah just completed a six week long after school jewerly design course. They were disappointed that is was not more challenging. It didn’t compare to the advanced techniques that they had learned at the fine arts museum. (Those classes spoiled them.) I had advised them to choose another class such as stained glass because the jewelry design would probably be things they already knew. What can I say besides I told them so. Regardless, I wouldn’t allow them to quit as they made a committment when they signed up. The instructor ended up praising their work in front of the class when everything was said and done.
In other art news, they have been working hard in art club to prepare for art night next month. They describe many of their art projects to me, but I have only seen a few.
I think many projects are kept for display at school and for art night. They will probably be able to take them home at the end of the year, insha Allah.
