From last Saturday through today(Saturday), the weather has done a 360. Last Saturday it was in the high 60s. Then it snowed causing school to close on Monday and Tuesday. Now today it is in the 60s again. Not sure if spring is here to stay or if another winter storm is on the way. Subhannallah.

Anyway, the girls did some baking before and during the snow.

Banana nut muffins

Cranberry raisin oatmeal cookies

Isa also got into the action and baked some elephant ears while the girls were at school.

He is still adjusting to the girls being at school and only having me all day. He has developed seperation anxiety and screams for me even if I just walk out of the room. I guess it is an adjustment for him to be alone as a full house is all he has ever known.

I am also trying to get him acclimated to spending about an hour in child watch at the Y while I workout. We may end up enrolling him in the 2 day a week preschool there in the fall. So, he really needs to get used to being around other children his age.

Towards the end of the week, I came down with the stomach virus that has been going around the house. It has taken me longer to recover than the children though. I was unable to take the girls to the Girl Scout meeting last night due to still being weak and nauseous. I am praying I can make it to the cookie booth sale tomorrow. My husband has been taking over the chores this morning and took them to frisbee golf at the park so that I can rest, maashaa allah. Drinking lots of ginger tea seems to help a lot too.

Have a fabulous week, insha allah.

    Assalamo alaikum,

I love the baking mashaAllah. That is interesting about Isa’s behaviour, Khadijah is exactly the same. She is afraid to stay in a room or sleep in a bed alone. She either sleeps in one of her sister’s beds or mine (usually half the night in each!)

How far along are you now mashaAllah? InshaAllah you will feel better soon. I totally admire you, may Allah give you all success and the highest rank in this life and the next, ameen.

    • As salaam alaikum,

May Allah allow them to outgrow this soon.

May Allah make me like you think I am. Ameen

I am almost 15 weeks along. I just found out that I am anemic last night. Apparently, my count goes down with each baby. Allahu alim

  2. Assalamualaykum,
The baking looks great, maashAllah. May Allah restore your health quickly, ameen.
