Spring Break Finale

Spring break ended with Isa’s ear tube surgery. It was a very quick procedure, but he was quite distraught afterwards. Alhamdulillah, everything went well and his hearing has already improved.
It didn’t take much time for him to return to normal. He stayed home that evening with my husband while the girls and I ventured to Girl Scouts. I led the younger girls’  this time in English muffin pizza making as my coleader helped the older girls with a sewing project. They are in the process of recycling old books into a book purses. It is a sewing project, so I asked for her expertise.

They also received the pens that they decorated with clay and baked at the last meeting.

Overall spring break was quite uneventful although my husband along with Hannah and Jamilah did paint the living room and hallway! The girls were bored and ended up watching too many library videos. It is best for them to get back into their school routine, insha Allah.

    Assalamo alaikum,

That was a very quick spring break! It is a two week holiday here. Alhamdulilah you have noticed the difference in Isa’s hearing so soon. For us sometimes it takes several insertions to see the change.

I love the clay pens, is that fimo clay?

    • Wa alaikum as salaam umm salam,

Remember we get out for the summer much earlier here though. Actually, I am trying to fill out their summer break now, insha allah.

Yes, that was fimo clay. Your girls would love it!

I have also heard that it takes awhile for the tubes to work for some. Alhamdulillah, we were blessed that he hadn’t gotten an infection in the 3+ months his ears were clogged with fluid.

  2. Assalamualaykum,

  4. As salaamu alaykum,

AlhamduLillah for the successful surgery. The pens are really cute and the pizzas look good too, mashaAllah!
