This week I felt more sluggish and lethargic than usual due to the oppressive heat. It was in the high 90s this week and it was all I could do just to keep up with the children’s activities.
Yahya’s football camp went on as scheduled despite the temperatures. It was the most physically intensive experience he has had thus far. I am not sure if he realizes how physically demanding football is. There is a lot of emphasis placed on weight training as well and the regular.season hasn’t even begun yet! The first official practice starts Aug. 1 insha allah.
Hannah and Jamilah enjoyed their cosmetology class inside this week where the focus was on hair styling. They are practicing what they learned on their sisters. They hope to learn different types of braiding techniques as well. I am not really into this sort of thing and am glad they are learning it somewhere. Next week they will learn about proper nail and skin maintenance.
