Farewell Babymoon

Hashem at birth

Today officially ends our babymoon as Hashem turns 2 weeks old and my husband had to return to work. I still feel fatigued but well enough to manage most of the household chores and childcare on my own. It is much easier this time around as the children are in school. Things get tricky when the girls get home with juggling homework, snacks, etc. but I just need to remember to help them as much as I can and anticipate my husband’s arrival.

On the school front, the little girls continue to strive with their academics. Hawwa was even awarded second grade student of the week ( out of 5 second grade classes) during the second week of school, maashaa allah.

Jennah has improved tremendously in reading and spends much time on her homework nightly. She seems to have more homework than all of the children. Maybe it is common in upper elementary school.

Siddiqah seems to have worked through her homesickness and likes school as well as her teacher much better now. Hannah, on the other hand, is having some issues with school and is saying she wants to be homeschooled again. She doesn’t like the pressure of the tests and quizzes. I told her she would have to stick it out this year at least.

More on the older children later, insha allah. Baby woke up…

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh alhumdulillah look at him mashaa’Allah may Allah make him the coolness of your eyes and make him and the rest of your children righteous servants of The Most High! And may He reward you for your raising Muslim children and raise your ranks. Ameen. This is so exciting! Is there a way to contact you privately through your blog?
