Strawberry season is here! Today, the children and I went on a field trip to a strawberry farm for pick your own strawberries. The berry farm http://www.gallmeyerfarms.com/BerryPatch.htm was located in the country away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing.
After choosing the size of container to collect the berries, we proceeded out to the field to pick our own. Although we have gathered blueberries before, this was the children’s first experience gathering strawberries which are much lower to the ground than the blueberries. As a result of the six of us picking the berries, it didn’t take too long to end up with about 12 lbs!

There was also a wonderful area for picnicing and toys for the children to entertain themselves after we finished up with the berries, masha Allah. The weather was great and so was the company, alhamdulillah.
Later, at home, we made some strawberry jam. Insha Allah, we hope Daddy will make some strawberry pancakes and some strawberry shortcake for us too!
