Alhamdulillah, we have really been enjoying our spring break. My husband has been home helping me out for the last several days which has allowed me to get so much accomplished. I have actually started planning and scheduling for summer, maashaa Allah. It hasn’t been all work though. We have been stopping to smell the flowers too. I wanted to share some pictures of the beautiful orchids he shot during a recent outing to the gardens.

Gather ideas from our online journal for nature studies, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, homeschooling curriculum, projects, and spending quality time with the children.- O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allâh, but do that which they are commanded. Qur'an (At-Tahrim 66:6)
Who are we?
As salaam alaikum,
Welcome to River City Homeschoolers. We are an Islamic homeschooling family in Richmond, VA with five lovely girls(11, 9,7, 5, and 4) and two wonderful boys (13 and a toddler). Currently, the girls are being homeschooled while our eldest son is enjoying a second year school experience at a small, all-boys middle school. My husband and I were born and raised in Virginia. We both accepted Islam on the same day about 11 years ago, masha Allah.

I just love, love, love orchids. I am so glad your enjoying your time mashaAllah. xXx
My favorite orchids are lady slippers. I just love how they just seem to randomly pop up in the woods.
